It seems like nothing can stop the freight train of popularity that host of The Daily Show Trevor Noah is riding. Politico reported that Noah will be speaking to a distinguished crowd at the House Democratic Caucus issues retreat this week.
The three-day event in Baltimore also features President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and others. The title of the 2016 retreat is "United for Opportunity".
Party leaders will settle on messages and policy angles for the year during their time in Baltimore. It will probably one of the unique crowds Noah has been in front of in his young, burgeoning career.
Noah started on Comedy Central as Jon Stewart's replacement on The Daily Show this past September. He has been a regular contributor to the political satire program for the last couple of years.
Noah's career in entertainment began as an actor and television host in his native South Africa. He then began to focus on comedy and stand-up before moving to the United States in 2011.
Noah was the first South African comedian to appear on The Tonight Show and the Late Show with David Letterman. Much of his comedy is built upon a difficult upbringing growing up during apartheid in a Soweto township.
