Guy Harvey has made his life about the marine world. This past Friday, Harvey spoke at the Cayman Alternative Investment Summit about ocean conservation.
He was joined by billionaire philanthropist Sir Richard Branson on the stage. Both men have worked together in the past on the Carribean Challenge Initiative and the Guy Harvey Great Shark Race.
They spoke about how marine life is a vital part of the tourism industry in the Carribean. Each also agreed that education and proper management of these ecosystems is essential.
Harvey is the most popular artist of marine wildlife in the world. His artwork is featured prominently in many forms, most notably on the popular line of t-shirts that are produced.
Harvey has two published books of his artwork. Other notable murals he has created are highlights at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and Nova Southeastern University.
In addition to outside charitable works, Harvey addresses marine conservation through two personal outlets. At Nova, he established the Guy Harvey Research Institute and he also has the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.
