There are not many people more synonymous with pizza making than celebrity chef Tony Gemignani.  He released the book, "The Pizza Bible," and has been making the rounds promoting it.

Last Wednesday, Gemignani was at the Collegeville Bakery in Pennsylvania for a book signing.  He was greeted a packed dining room eager to hear some of his tricks of the trade.

Gemignani was able to share techniques with the audience.  He also talked about the differences in pizza chains and independent pizzerias.

Gemignani started in the pizza business straight out of high school as a pizza thrower at his brother's restaurant.  He eventually entered contests and became the top pizza thrower in the world.

In 2009, Gemignani opened his first restaurant, "Tony's Pizza Napoletana," in San Francisco.  He currently owns 16 pizzerias in the U.S.

Gemignani has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records on two occasions.  He has countless awards, including being named World Champion Pizza Maker in 2007 and one of three individuals designated as U.S. Ambassador of Neapolitan Pizza.
