Celebrity Chef Kevin Sbraga Keynotes Chef Connect: NYC in February

The American Culinary Federation has two special ChefConnect events coming up with some exciting speakers. ChefConnect: NYC will take place February 26-28 and feature celebrity chef Kevin Sbraga. 

Sbraga will touch on some interesting elements of his background. He will discuss how he turned Senegal street food into upscale menu items. 

ChefConnect: Chicago will also run February 5-7. At each event, a conversation about diversity in the restaurant business will lead off the proceedings. 

Sbraga is the owner of Sbraga Dining in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company operates three different restaurant concepts in the area, including the flagship, Sbraga. 

The restaurant was named by Esquire as "Best New Restaurant" in 2012 and regularly ranks on Philadelphia Magazine's list of "Best Restaurants. His culinary style is definitely influenced by his multicultural background growing up with an African-American father and Italian-American mother. 

Sbraga is best known to the rest of the country as the winner of season seven of the hit series, "Top Chef." This summer, he was a celebrity judge on season seven of Fox's "Master Chef."
