CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves Named Commencement Speaker at Alma Mater

Bucknell University is inviting one of their most successful alums back to campus to serve as commencement speaker this spring. CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves will address the Class of 2016 graduates at the school's 166th Commencement.
The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. on May 22nd on the Academic Quadrangle. There will be an overflow crowd at the Trout Auditorium and the speech will also be streamed live online.
Moonves graduated from Bucknell in 1971 and previously gave the commencement speech in 1996. He majored in Spanish while pursuing his passion for theater by performing in several plays at the school.
In 1995, Moonves joined CBS Entertainment president. Since then, his role has only grown as he has piloted CBS to being America's highest-rated network 12 of the last 13 years while becoming one of the most powerful media executives in the world.
Prior to joining CBS, Moonves was president and CEO of Warner Bros. TV. He has also worked for 20th Century Fox, Saul Ilson Productions, Catalina Productions and Lorimar Television.
Moonves is a member of the Television Hall of Fame. He has been on the board of directors for ZeniMax Media since 1999 as well.
