Business Insiders Breakfast Names Scottish Enterprise Chairman Bob Keiller Keynote Speaker

Top Scottish dealmaker Bob Keiller will speak at an important business event later this month.  He is the keynote speaker at the Scottish Business Insider and Borders Council Breakfast on May 20th. 

The breakfast will be held at Galashiels Transport Interchange.  In particular, discussion at the event will center on the enhanced business prospects for the area in light of a recently built rail link connection with Edinburgh. 

Proceedings will run from 8-10:30 a.m.  Individual tickets are 56 euros while table prices for groups of ten and 12 are also available. 

This January, Keiller was named Chairman of Scottish Enterprise.  He has been an oil and gas executive in some capacity since 1986.

In 2011, Keiller sold the private oil services company PSN to Wood Group for $1 billion.  The following year he became CEO of Wood Group, overseeing 40,000 employees and operations in over 50 countries until he stepped down this past December. 

Keiller was Scottish Businessman of the Year in 2007 after creating PSN.  He also won Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006 and 2008.
