Boston University Names Former CBS Chairman Nina Tassler Commencement Speaker

Former CBS chairman Nina Tassler reached the highest level of her profession. She can draw off that experience when she addresses the graduates at her alma mater, Boston University, on May 15th.
Tassler is the speaker for BU's 143rd Commencement. The ceremony will be held on campus at Nickerson Field.
In addition to speaking, Tassler will be awarded a Doctor of Humane letters. She has remained active in the BU community during her career in show business and currently serves as a trustee.
Tassler was named the chairman of CBS in 2014. During her tenure in that senior level position, she had notable achievements like spearheading the addition of "The Talk" to daytime programming.
Tassler originally joined the company in 1997 as vice president, drama for CBS Productions. She had previously been a talent agent in Los Angeles and also worked as the head of drama development at Warner Bros. Television.
Currently, Tassler serves on the board of directors for Jewish Family Services and the Paley Center for Media. She is a member of the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.
