BlogHer Conference Names Reality Star Kim Kardashian West a Keynote Speaker

On Friday, one of the world's biggest celebrities will speak at the BlogHer conference.  Reality television star Kim Kardashian West is the event's keynote speaker. 

The conference is being held from August 4-6 in Los Angeles at the JW Marriott.  Kardashian West is the Friday lunch speaker at the conference which will begin at 12:30 p.m. 

She will be interviewed during the keynote by BlogHer co-founder Elisa Camahort Page.  Over 5,000 bloggers are expected to attend to get tips on how to improve their content and participate in networking opportunities.  

Kardashian West has one of the largest followings of anyone on social media with tens of millions of followers across her platforms.  She rose to fame through the E! reality series "Keeping Up wth the Kardashians". 

The series began in 2007 and season 12 recently aired this spring.  It has also spun a number of spin-off shows featuring Kardashian West and her sisters.  

With his sisters, Kardashian West runs the chain of clothing boutiques called DASH.  Last year, she was named to Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
