Bestselling Author Ron Hall Speaks at The Guiding Light Banquet October 5th

Guiding Light is an organization in western Michigan that helps men through recovery and reestablishes them as responsible members of society.  Every year, they host a banquet and they have a very special speaker this year. 

Author Ron Hall will present at the event on October 5th at Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids Charter Township.  It will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m., featuring a dinner before his speech.  

Individual tickets to attend are $75.  Hall certainly has a remarkable tale to tell the attendees that evening. 

Hall gripped the country with his New York Times bestseller, "Same Kind of Different as Me".  In it, he tells the story about befriending a homeless man to save his marriage. 

Hall had been a successful art gallery, but was having problems at home.  That turned around when his wife insisted they serve food at a homeless shelter. 

The remarkable story has now been turned into a film that is due out early next year.  It is being released by Paramount Pictures and stars big names like Greg Kinnear, Renée Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou, Olivia Holt, Jon Voight.
