Author Esther Luttrell dropped some inspirational words at the Flint Hills Senior Life Fair last week. She served as the keynote speaker at the event that was held in the Anderson Building in Emporia, Kansas.
The free fair ran from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and featured several speakers along with lunch. Luttrell's speech was titled, "Happy On Purpose".
Luttrell was able to talk about pursuing a new career late in life. Some of the other topics addressed included staying in shape, getting better insurance and funeral services.
Luttrell did not become a published writer until the age of 64. At one time, she was a Hollywood screenwriter but now pens books across several different genres.
Luttrell has written over 14 books. Her story has been tied into a very inspirational message that she delivers in talks across the country.
No topic is off the table when it comes to what Luttrell writes or speaks about. She discusses topics ranging from her son's death to her husband leaving her.
