Author and Former Surgeon Bernie Siegel Speaks at Western Connecticut State

Bernie Siegel is a motivational author and former surgeon who was based in Connecticut.  Tonight, he is speaking at Western Connecticut State University.

The event is taking place at 7:30 p.m. at the Ives Concert Hall on campus.  Siegel is discussing his new book "The Art of Healing".  

A book signing is following his presentation.  General admission tickets are $22, $12 for faculty and free for students with a valid school ID. 

During his career as a doctor, Siegel practiced general medicine and pediatric surgery.  In 1989, he retired as an assistant clinical professor of surgery at Yale. 

That came on the heels of Siegel releasing his first book in 1986, "Love, Medicine & Miracles".  It became a bestselling and he has since written over 30 books. 

Watkins Review has named Siegel one of the top 20 Spiritually Influential Living People on the Planet.  He is a graduate of Cornell University and Cornell University Medical College.
