Planners of the Dealer Conference for Jacuzzi Hot Tubs and Sundance Spas recently surprised those in attendance with an unexpected keynote speaker. The second person on the moon, retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin, spoke to the assembled crowd in Panama City, Panama.

The conference's theme was "Unlocking Possibilities - Engage, Explore, Excel."  That motto fits pretty well for Adrin's appearance.

Aldrin spoke about his experience in space.  He also talked about the highs and lows of his life as well as managing the success that came early in his life.

Aldrin was the Apollo 11 Lunar Module Pilot and stepped foot on the Moon in July 1969.  He had previously manned the Gemini 12 space expedition as well.

Prior to being selected for NASA, Aldrin served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.  In 1951, he graduated third in his class at West Point.

Aldrin has written several books about his life and space.  He continues to be deeply invested in all matters pertaining to space travel and has advocated for manned missions to Mars.
