ArtPlace America Executive Director Jamie Bennett Speaks at Summit on the Future

Elkhart County, Indiana is a community actively engaged in approving his future.  They have compiled a Draft Action Agenda through several initiatives. 

That agenda was announced at their Summit on the Future on June 7th.  To mark the occasion, the executive director of ArtPlace America, Jamie Bennett, served as keynote speaker. 

Bennett spoke about the way that the arts and creativity can stimulate community growth.  The events of the evening officially ran from 4-7 p.m.

Bennett has been the ArtPlace America executive director since 2014.  Previously, he worked as the Chief of Staff at both the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. 

Fundraising work for Bennett has also taken him to organizations like Columbia College, The Museum of Modern Art and the New York Philharmonic.  He has also worked heavily with non-profits as a member of the Board of Directors. 

Bennett has been Chief of Staff for the Columbia College President as well.  He holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia College.
