APPIES APAC 2016 Names Sequoia Capital Singapore CEO Tan Yinglan Keynote Speaker

The APPIES APAC festival is taking place this Thursday and Friday.  It stands as a top event in Asia for brand marketers to learn and share with each other.  

The conference will take place at the National University of Singapore Society Guild House.  One of the top speakers that is attending the event is Sequoia Capital Singapore CEO Tan Yinglan. 

Yinglan is going to discuss the sound investment strategy employed by Sequoia Capital.  He will also discuss the success level of their incubation program for new start-ups.  

Yinglan was the first hire for Sequoia Capital in Singapore in 2012.  Prior to assuming that role, he headed projects for the National Research Foundation out of Singapore's Prime Minister office. 

There, Yinglan was responsible for significant high-tech growth investments.  He launched both the Technological Incubation Scheme and the Global Entrepreneur Executives Fund.  

Yinglan has held other government posts and also been a private entrepreneur.  He holds a master's degree from Stanford University and was honored as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2012.
