Anti-Bullying Speaker Josh Gunderson Presents at Iowa High School Assembly

Josh Gunderson spends his time spreading his anti-bullying message across the country. He was back at it last week, speaking to students in Emmetsburg, Iowa on Thursday.
Gunderson made an appearance at Emmetsburg High School at an assembly for their students and also those from West Best-Mallard Community School. He mostly talked about the bullying that occurs via social media.
Gunderson made a point to ask students to slow down adn theink about what they post on various platforms. He shared some cautionary tales about the consequences of doing negative things with social media.
Since 2009, Gunderson has been speaking to groups and he has since visited over 150 schools. Thousands of people all over the world have watched his "It Gets Better" video.
Some of the events that Gunderson particularly supports include GLAAD's Spirit Day and GLSEN's Day of Silence. He also volunteers his time at the Education Department of the New England Aquarium.
Gunderson graduated from Salem State University with the John Sorenson Unsung Hero Award. He is a member of the school's Civic Engagement Hall of Fame.
