America East Announces Washington Post Columnist Margaret Sullivan as 2017 Keynote Speaker

America East is one of the largest conferences for news media in the world. They have chosen one of the most respected columnists from their industry to keynote their 2017 event.
The Washington Post's Margaret Sullivan will speak on April 10th at Hershey Lodge in Pennsylvania. She will speak about all the changes to media and the challenges that lie ahead.
The conference runs through April 12th and is hosted by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association. There are 14 state press associations and other partners that are co-sponsoring the event.
Sullivan currently serves as a media columnist for the Post. Prior to assuming that role, she was a public editor for The New York Times.
On two occasions, Sullivan has served as the director of the American Society of Newspaper Editors. From 2011-2012, she was on the Pulitzer Prize Board.
Sullivan began her media career as a summer intern at her hometown paper, The Buffalo News, and eventually rose to the position of chief editor. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
