Agriculture Expert Marco Ferroni Speaks at Food Security Forum

Agriculture expert Marco Ferroni was a speaker at a very important global conference last month. He spoke to attendees at the Asian Development Bank Food Security Forum.
The forum was held from June 22-24 at ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. The main topic of the proceedings was "Are we eating right?".
Ferroni addressed the importance of intaking nutritious food. He talked about healthy dietary choices leading to lower health care costs and higher productivity.
Ferroni is the Executive Director of the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture. He assumed the post in 2008 and oversees the organization's efforts with small farmers in developing countries.
Prior to arriving at the foundation, Ferroni worked at the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank. Early in his career, he was an economist and worked with the government of Switzerland.
Ferroni speaks around the world about agriculture, development finance, and trade. He holds a doctorate in agricultural economics from Cornell University.
