Actress Kim Coles Keynotes Detroit Go Red for Women Luncheon

The Go Red for Women Luncheon is raising awareness in Detroit for heart health.  They have booked actress Kim Coles to be this year's keynote speaker on February 12th.

The luncheon will take place at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center and begins at 9 a.m.  In addition to Coles' keynote, there will be seminars, screenings, and a silent auction.

Tickets start at $250 with a VIP package that also includes a private meet and greet with Coles running $500.  The event is expected to gross around $750,000 for local cardiovascular research.

Coles gained notoriety for her roles in "In Living Single" and "In Living Color".  She has appeared in other iconic television series like Frasier and Six Feet Under. 

Coles is also well-known for her work as a stand-up comedian.  Often poking fun at her weight loss struggles, she appeared on Celebrity Fit Club and dropped 24 pounds.  

She has hosted TV programs like The View and BET's Pay It Off.  Through her Open the G.I.F.T.S. program, Coles speaks to audiences across the country, empowering them to find their own gifts.
