Actor Mark Ruffalo Gives Commencement Address at Ringling College of Art and Design

On Thursday, actor Mark Ruffalo spent some time hanging out in southwest Florida. As part of his trip, he made a special stop to serve as commencement speaker at a local school.
Ruffalo addressed the Class of 2016 at Ringling College of Art and Design yesterday. The ceremony was held at 3:30 at the Bradenton Area Convention Center.
In the evening, Ruffalo made an appearance to promote his documentary, "Dear President Obama". He hosted a screening at Burns Court Cinema in Sarasota.
Ruffalo has been in the entertainment business since 1989. He had his first big breakout year in 2010, when he starred in the films "Shutter Island" and "The Kids Are All Right", the latter of which he received his first Academy Award nomination.
Since, Ruffalo has played Dr. Bruce Banner and the Hulk in the Avengers film series. In 2014, Ruffalo received his second Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Foxcatcher".
Off the screen, Ruffalo is a known humanitarian and social activist. He has been most vocal speaking out against fracking, which is a topic addressed in Dear President Obama.
