Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt Speaks on Opening Night of Web Summit

One of the biggest events dealing with technology and the internet took place in Lisbon, Portugal last week.  The convention had several big name speakers including one of the top names from Hollywood. 

Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt spoke on the opening night of the event.  He talks a great deal about his online production company, HitRecord. 

The Web Summit started six years ago with a small turnout.  This year, they welcomed over 53,000 people from 167 countries. 

Gordon-Levitt had an early jumpstart to his career as a child actor.  Some of the early films he appeared in include, "A River Runs Through It", "Angels in the Outfield" and "10 Things I Hate About You".  

Since, Gordon-Levitt has become a top blockbuster actor, making appearances in several top-grossing pictures like "Inception", "Lincoln" and "Dark Knight Rises."  He has also branched out in the business by becoming a successful director and screenwriter. 

Gordon-Levitt has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards.  He won a Primetime Emmy in 2014 for his HitRecord on TV show.
