Actor Jasmine Guy Named Keynote Speaker for Troy University Leadership Conference Luncheon

Actor Jasmine Guy will try to impart some valuable lessons when she visits Troy University this week.  Guy is the keynote speaker for Saturday's luncheon at the 15th annual Leadership Conference. 

Tickets for the two-day conference cost $30, which includes entrance and lunch at her presentation on Saturday.  There will be several other speakers throughout the two days that come from inspirational backgrounds and have tremendous stories to share. 

All sessions will be held on campus at the Trojan Center.  Hearing about Guy's diverse background and lengthy career in entertainment will surely be a treat for those assembled.  

Guy's most notable role was on the NBC comedy sitcom, "A Different World".  She won four consecutive Image Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Role.

More recently, Guy has had a recurring role in CW's "Vampire Diaries".  She has also appeared in shows like "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "Melrose Place", and "NYPD Blue". 

Guy has appeared in films and on Broadway as well.  In 1990, she released a self-titled music album that had two singles crack the U.S. Top 40 chart.
