Academy Award Winner Geena Davis Highlights Speakers at The Art of Leadership for Women

Several impressive women will speak in Vancouver on April 1st and the most notable on the list may be actress Geena Davis.  Davis is one of the speakers scheduled for The Art of Leadership for Women.

The conference will run all day at the Vancouver Convention Center.  Passes to the event range from $499 to $849.

Davis will be the last presenter of the day at 4 p.m. and she will speak on leadership and empowerment.  Other speakers slated to attend include bestselling author Amy Cuddy and endurance swimmer Diana Nyad.  

Davis first gained notoriety as the 1988 Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Accidental Tourist.  She also was nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award and Golden Globe in 1992 for Thelma & Louise.  

Since, Davis has picked up three more Golden Globe nominations, winning Best Actress in a Television Series Drama in 2005 for Commander in Chief.  Most recently she starred as Dr. Nicole Herman in the hit TV show Grey's Anatomy. 

In addition to her acting work, Davis is an accomplished activist, Mensa member, and world-class archer.  She is the founder of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender and Media.
