ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey Gives UCLA School of TFT Commencement Address

One of Hollywood's most prominent executives will speak to graduates at UCLA this June.  ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey speaks at commencement for the university's college of Theater, Film and TV.

The ceremony on June 10th will be held at Royce Hall on campus from 2-4 p.m.  Tickets are required to attend the commencement. 

It will be particularly special for Dungey to speak to the students.  She is a magna cum laude of the UCLA TFT school.  

Dungey was named ABC Entertainment President this February.  She is the first African-American president of a major broadcast television network.  

In Dungey's role, she oversees all operations and programming decisions for the ABC Television Network. She was first hired by ABC Studios as vice president, drama development in 2004.  

Dungey developed and acquired shows like Criminal Minds and Private Practice while running the drama department.  Outside of her TV career, she is the founding member of the Step Up Women's Network, a non-profit that strengthens resources for women and girls.
